While listening to the Park Ridge fire Friday night Teaneck FD Box 54 was using tg 1099 for their comms. while on the scene. Unknown if this is a mutual aid channel or exclusively Box 54. While on the scene, they were the only ones using this channel. Just an FYI, Chuck.

The 154.280 fire was in northwest Bergen area? maybe it was NORCOM (Wyckoff FD) they might have an additional TG on system? next fire will tell?

speaking of patch/simulcast - not hearing Closter PD ever as reported in the DB, but Closter and its surrounding towns are very active VHF - and they don't have 'county' trunk radios - what say u?

They're the same frequency with different PL.s. 154.2800 with a PL of 123.0 is regularly used by Northwest towns as a fireground channel. 154.2800 with a PL 156.7 s the countywide fireground and is usually used to coordinate incoming fire units from out of town. It is used during the brushfires in the Meadowlands a lot. The SECOND frequency is the one that's patched to the county trunked system. Also there's a debate whether
it's just a simulcast of 154.2800 or an actual patch were someone on the county trunked system can talk on 154.2800

154.2800 with a PL of 123.0 is a fireground channel used by NORCON ONLY. 154.2800 with a PL of 156.7 is the countywide fireground used through the county. They are the same frequency with different PL's.

154.2800 123.0 is RESPONSE 1 in all NORCON radios. It is used to coordinate responses to Mutual Aid Calls and is NOT a Fireground. Back in the Day, it was FIRE 2 when 154.1750 was too congested. 154.2800 156.7 is also in the NORCON Channel plan as COUNTYWIDE FIRE.
