Does anyone know when it will be up and running because I heard early 09 but its not up yet.
I have submitted info to RR that nevered appear here!?
this topic keeps coming up, looking at FCC license reports and past newspaper reports and some monitoring and talking to local OEM people it seems like its moving along site by site, the radio contractor is in Hackensack - PINICLE communications
along time ago the talk groups appeared on RR but someone said its not real , someone, months later said the actual talk group numbers are wrong BUT the assignments for the various towns and agencies on it where right
and i found Justin site bergenscanner has freq that RR doesnt have
all this adds up to is: they picked up the equiptment from Motorola, have built or added 'stuff ' to thier sites at least 5 sites are being worked on - one at a time, some freq's have change, and its digital and there are towns going over to it and who cares its may be encrypted
I know I do. I travel the State Route 4 / State Route 17 corridor routinely - and they patrol it (...a little too well). How many people even listen to the BCPD?
HUH? slow down there.....
From what I can decipher you wrote the radio contractor is Pinnacle Wireless in Hackensack. Yes they are renovating existing sites such as Saddle Ridge in Franklin Lakes NJ and Stag Hill In Mahwah and HQ in Hackensack. Something is under construction on the lot at the BCFA in Mahwah unsure if it is related. I also have that preliminary list with the Talkgroups, but was later told they were invalid. The TG IDs were in Motorola Hex. I believe they were going to use some of the existing UHF freqs as part of the trunk system, I believe the UHF freqs for Oradell and Lodi were also some of them. Only some of the talkgroups were listed as Encrypted like SWAT and other sensitive stuff. I do not know of any towns that are going to it. Many towns declined.
Why would they accept? After all in Bergen Co. cooperation and interoperability are words seldom heard and rarely mentioned. It works in other places but not in Bergen where each mayor needs to be in charge of his kingdom!!!
