Bergen Cty P25 system & BCD396T

I'm looking for some help regarding programing my BCD396T. I trying to monitor only the Demarest PD, I've programmed the scanner as a P25 system by entering the (8) 470mhz channels in order as shown for the Alpine tower. I also have Demarest's ID as 1202 entered into the TGID. All the other configurations are as defaulted on the unit. My problem is that I'm getting a fair amount of digital garble and I'm also getting traffic ( Lodi ) other then Demarest's . I assume the digital garble is an encripted channel.

So what can I do so I only receive Demarest radio traffic?

Are you in the "ID Search" or "ID Scan" mode. If you want to hear only the TGID's you have entered then you should be in the ID Scan mode.

Also make sure you consistanly get the control channel! That's the #1 problem with the Bergen County system, the scanners can't find the control channel
