Been listening to fire operations by Baker Heights Vol. Fire Dept. I didn't catch the actual call dispatched but sounded pretty bad. They then called in a helo for someone who was trapped inside; person flown to Winchester (guessing since it went south over our house). They then called for help from Jefferson Co.; when they did they gave the address of Baker Heights Vol. Fire Dept. of 2229 Charlestown Rd.

Apparently they had a firefighter or someone else trapped or lost in the fire. After the fire was out, they had a 2-person search party that got separated from each other. So, they sent in another "red team" for each of them. So far, one is out OK.

I'm not sure if that was an actual fire. It was on Co 60's private channel, and the "dispatcher" sounded like a firefighter. I never heard them drop tones for it or do any kind of evacuation alert. The excitement began about 10:30pm, which I thought was a strange time to have a drill.

As far as the Helo, they flew an ATV crash victim from the Marlowe area to Winchester about 11pm... about the time the drill was happening.

That was my thought at first, but when I was hearing the helicopter actually fly over our house, I figured it was real. I guess I got the training and the tail-end of the wreck mixed up. :)
