I know this was in the works, and supposedly to be running by August. I have had the new Berkeley Township frequencies programmed in since the summer, and today I finally heard something. 854.5125 was P25 digital, non-encrypted. It was weak, but I heard people talking about buildings and other technical stuff. I am on my way to Atlantic City for the evening, so I won't have time to monitor the old and new BTPD channels until tomorrow afternoon. Anyone within listening range with a P25 scanner, put in 854.5125 & 854.3875 and see what you hear.

Right before I left for the night, I heard a regular dispatch on Berkeley PD 1, the old channel (852.2625). Could they be setting up the new system? That would explain why I was getting the digital communications so weak in Toms River. If anyone has the time, see if another agency within reason is using 854.5125 that I could have been picking up on a skip or something.

Before I left, I put on my other PRO 2096 with a better antenna. I am almost certain it is the new Berkely Twp, since I heard them doing radio tests, like 1-2-3-4-5--5-4-3-2-1. Also, they were reporting the signal from various parts around the town. Looks like they are getting their new system up and running.
