Not sure if Michigan or Indiana forum is the right place to post, but I live in Indiana within 5 miles from Berrien County. Before the simulcast upgrade I had no issues picking up the southern county sites and hearing radio traffic. Since the upgrade I'm not picking up anything. I have a Uniden SDS 100/150 and am very familiar with programming. I've double and triple checked the frequencies for the new simulcast system and the CCs for it. I went through all the TGs to verify they are correct. I've messed around with changing the tdma & fdma and still not picking anything up. I can easily pick up usually a two county radius from my location so it's not an issue of distance and I checked the radius of the site ("which is of course an estimate") of 25 miles and I still fall within that.

Any advice or help on this?

Your scanner a 100 or 150? How or you programming it, manualy, Sentinel, Proscan, or other software?

Export your programming file to .hpe, zip it up, and post it here so someone can take a look at it.

Is your scanner seeing any info on the control channels? You should see some bars showing the strength of the control channel. Also the pink info at the bottom confirms the scanner is seeing the system and gives you information about it if you have the details on

Note: Only Oakland Co (Metro Detroit) is currently TDMA, the rest of MPSCS is FDMA. If the Talkgroup mode is T it's TDMA, D is FDMA.

I attached my channel list, frequency list, and a screenshot of my scanner display. I'm not getting any signal strength bars or site information.

How are you programming the scanner? That looks like Freescan, which will not work on a SDS scanner.

And Squelch should be set to 2!
No its the Sentinel software. I overlooked the Squelch! I am getting 2-4 bars signal on one of the CCs.

You might try the attached file for Berrien county.

Download, unzip, and import the Berrien.hpe file to your scanner as a new Favorite List and see if there is a difference from your programming.

Also my programming in Sentinel shows the Dec number for the TGID not the Hex number. Don't know if that make a difference.

Make sure you Service Types are turned on.
