Best Analog Frequencies To Monitor At Port Authority, Manhattan

I was at the Port Authority yesterday and had my Baofeng Ham radio handheld with me and was able to catch some voice comms on 452.325 still, which was nice. Are there any other analog frequencies used by Port Authority Gate Operations I should program in?

I'm guessing you were at the bus terminal. PAPD there uses 852.575 110.9.

Yes, I meant the PA bus terminal. Thanks for the additional information. I noticed that the PA bus terminal police also have a TG on their Edacs system, so I'm assuming that 852.575 is simply a simulcast of that talkgroup? I can't seem to pick up 852.575 from where I live in Union County nj, so I'm guessing their radios are fairly low power on that frequency.

I know for a fact 452.325 is still in use, confirmed yesterday. They put out enough power for me to even hear that frequency in Jersey. As for the 458 frequencies....if they are still in use, those are most likely inputs to the 453 frequencies. I would also like to know if they are still in use. None of the 453 frequencies are listed in the db.

After looking up these frequencies in the FCC database, none of them are even licensed to the Port Authority. A couple of them are licensed to NYC DOITT (which I guess could include port authority), but I thought the DOITT system was completely Trunked. But if anyone can confirm any of these additional analog frequencies used at the port authority, please post and update the radio reference database. Sometimes I find myself waiting for an hour for a bus, without knowing traffic patterns or it everything is delayed. They are very bad at making announcements there, so the best option is to listen in to the operations.

That is an analog frequency separate from the EDACS system. I have yet to hear any comms on the TRS being used by BT officers.

I am within eyesight (Jersey City) of the NY Times building which is across the street from the bus terminal. They come in very low for me. I usually have to find a sweet spot to hear that channel.

The "458" frequencies are likely inputs to the "453" frequencies.

The 458.xxxx frequencies are not inputs to the 453.xxxx frequencies. Except for the 452.325 frequency, which uses a repeater to enable NJT supervisors to contact the radio room to determine the location of a bus, the other frequencies are low powered simplex channels (no repeaters). Unless the system has been upgraded since my departure, you'll have to enter all the frequencies.

Their used to guide the buses to a terminal.
