Best batteries and battery charger

OK what are the best AA batteries and what charger should I use to charge them with. I need these for my 396T.

Hands down the best charger IMHO is the Maha MH-C401FS. For batteries I use Energizer 2500 NiMH's and have been quite pleased with their performance in my 246 and 396.

I agree 200% that the MH-C401FS is a great charger (I own two of them). I also am using the Energizer 2500s with very good results. I have about 48 of these batteries (not counting the Energizer 2300s that I am still using)

what about these MAHA POWEREX 2500 mAH AA NiMH Rechargeable Batteries

Energizer Rechargeables. I get roughly a 24 hour go at it on full charge. I'm sure it would be less though if your in an area with alot communications happening though.

But I find these batteries have lot's of juice and not too expensive.

Mine take a bit longer to charge compared to the 15/30 min. chargers only because I bought another one cheap. $25 I think. Charger + 4AA batteries.

I have some of both MAHA 2500 and Energizer 2500 and find them equal.

thanks, my old 2300 mah just arnt cutting it any more only get about 4 hours with my 396
