best for detroit

If this question has been asked please don't hurt me.I am looking at getting a new scanner and am looking at the home patrol and the gre 800.I am going to be listening to Detroit as I work there and mpcs as I live near metro airport.Which one could you recommend or should I be looking at something else .I had a bc 396t but found it didn't work very well in Detroit.Thanks

That's fine, or the BCD396XT with firmware update, or PSR-500, or 600, or just about anything. They all are about the same if you're talking portables.

The PSR 500 and 600 aren't the best in Detroit, The PSR 800 is way better on multicast systems.

I can't comment on the Unidens as I don't own any.
