Best icom r75 filter pairing

Hi I have 2 icom r75s in one I have the fl100 for CW and the other icom the FL 223 for SSB since I want each receiver dedicated to its own utility one for CW the other for SSB which filter should I get for the 455kz stage on each to complement those

Suggest that you Download an Icom IC-R75 Brochure and look at the filter chart on the third page. The recommendations are there but not quite complete. The only one missing from the Brochure is the FL-96 SSB wide filter 2.8 kHz/-6 dB. Icom originally offered five different filters for each stage - the brochure now only shows four for the 455 kHz stage.

Wow thanks! Since I had made that post last year I had the kiwa mods done by Craig who quite frankly is a genius at these icoms he made me up the 7.4kkhz am filter substitute for the fl 257 3.3 khz at the 455 2cd stage they work really good on the am I did not know the fl96 worked on the icom 75 I might get one to pair it up with the FL 223 and see how it is from the 1.9 to the 2.8khz instead of using the stock 2.4 thanks again!!

I've looked into which filters to use myself in my own R75. My main interest is SWL, so I will be adding the FL-103 and FL-257 filters as per Icoms recommendations. I am still trying to find an FL-103 - they're hard to find as Icom discontinued them in 2012 - before they discontinued the R75 !! Attached is a pdf which is my own work, and also a copy of Icoms R75 Instruction Manual from 2009 which shows all filter options very clearly on Pages 35 and 39. Hope this helps and good luck with both of your R75s
