We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

Looking to get a good antenna for the VHF and UHF spec. I dont want to spend a ton of money but want to be able to pull in places when im out in the field storm chasing as it is imperative i be able to get updates from the local ham/spotters and NOAH repeater. Im fairly certain i will be using a mag mount.

Is there one antenna better than another?? What ever you get, plunk it down in the middle of the roof if possible. The more to one side or end it is, the more skewed the pattern becomes.
