If you're intending on monitoring Sioux Falls Simulcast then you may encounter simulcast distortion, especially in a moving vehicle. Lesser antenna is generally better while trying to monitor simulcast systems with anything other than an SDS100 or SDS200. I have marginal improvement with simulcast systems in my area using a 436HP paired with a Comet Miracle Baby, YMMV
You can often find that cheaper if you shop around. I think I paid $50 for mine.
And it's a better option than the NMO-150/450/800. The whip is more flexible and it's got a spring in the base. A good choice for mounting on top of a vehicle. It's what I'm running right now on my work truck and my personal truck.
That Larsen with the flexible whip is a good choice if one has a reasonable ground plane. If your mounting point ground plane is poor or non-existent I recommend the COMPACtenna Scan-III.
