I just ordered this antenna with a mag mount for my pickup.

I will be using it for my 246t. I don't know anything about it other than lots of people say it was a decent antenna. I 'll let you know how it works, it is supposed to be here Tuesday.

The guy that owns that site also posts on this forum regularly and seems to be a pretty good merchant. He answered all my questions and shipped extremely fast. May be worth checking out.

That antenna is awesome on VHF and UHF. It does pretty well on 800, although you'll do better with a band specific antenna on 800. Lowband is passable, though it won't sound crystal clear. I've had it both hard mounted on a patrol vehicle and mag mounted on a personal vehicle. Both mounts have worked just fine.

best antenna

You could just get a dual band 2 meter 70 cm that would cover 120 to 500 mhz on receive it is a ham radio antenna they have the best receive as they have 4 to 7 gain if you get a good one.
