I have been looking at Diamond SRH815. Will this help me pick up more if i get this? I listen to 136-174, 450-520, and 800 MHz trunked and conventional. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Does anyone else have any other suggestions of antennas for these ranges?
Thanks.

best antenna

I've found that radio shack's 800 mhz antenna for hand held scanners works well as long as each channel is set specfically for am,fm or digital reception.

AM/FM or digital/analog doesn't make a difference, it's the frequency that matters. The RS 800 is a great choice for 800mhz. For a wider range of frequencies I would recommend the Comet SMA-3. I've had excellent results with mine. Others will probably recommend the Diamond RH77CA, but I've never used one.
