Best scanner for Yonkers PD?

I'm new to this and would like to know what model scanner I can buy to listen to Yonkers, New York PD.

A model that's not too expensive would be great.

I think what I need is a digital scanner.

You need to find out what frequencies in Yonkers you want to listen to first. Here is a link to the NY frequency database: http://www.radioreference.com/modules.php?name=RR&stid=36

Find the county Yonkers is in. Then, you can try and post what the frequencies / freq range you want is. Then, we can go from there.

Pro-97 and Pro-2055 are not digital. Unfortunately most digital capable scanners come with a hefty price tag.

Yonkers is digital, just make sure their frequencies are not encrypted. If they are then no scanner will be of any use.
