hi everyone!! i'm buying a home scanner. i was wondering if any of you know what type would be the best for my needs. i just want to be able to tune it to wichita area. i would like it to use elec at my home, but i would also need to take it in car. i don't have alot of money to spare at this time, so even a used scanner would be fine, i just want one that will last a long time. any advice you would have would be very helpful. thank you all in advance.

Now it doesnt have text but its a good starter scanner and is PC programable

Or if you want a Text to read try this one...

Now, some may argue with me on the choices i gave you but I think your looking for somthing reasonably priced. thats why I posted these instead of a Uniden, Icom, Sony, or AOR.

Did you get your scanner? If so how is it working? And welcome to scanning, I am sure you will have a great time.
