To those who are using a PRO-164, do you have any preference for programming software? If so, please list pros and cons of your choice. I've programmed everything I want to listen to but would like the ability to save it to the pc for future reloading or sharing. Thanks

Win97 without a doubt. I use it with my 163 and 97. Originally bought for the 97. Got a 163 last summer. It works well for both. The 97 has been collecting dust since getting the 163 and a 106.

They all have a free trial period, try them and see which you like...

I have a free utility on my web site to download and save the configuration of the PSR-300/400 and Pro-163/164. The name of the utility is PSR300DL, and as mentioned, is free of charge. The web site is in my signature.

I prefer ARC300 because it has a nice grid style editor simular to excel but try them all before making a purchase.

Thanks for the replies! I'll be going to RS this weekend to pick up the cable and give it a try.

PSRedit

I've been using PSRedit300 without any issues. I began with PSR500 for the digital radio so I thought I'd give the 300 software a try when I purchased the 164. IT works fine for me so I stayed with it.

You can try all 3 of the leading packages for 30 days for free and decide yourself.
