I currently have 3 feeds and 3 laptops. If there a EASY way to add 2 more feeds without adding 2 more laptops?

Powered USB hub, multiple USB audio dongles, multiple copies of software installed to handle each (RadioFeed is the best current software). There is absolutely no reason whatsoever to need more than one computer/laptop to host multiple feeds at one location.

Compatible with what? Most USB hubs are compatible with most computers, and the same for the USB audio dongles. Any standard USB hub that has external power should be fine, Amazon Basics brand or whatever you prefer. The USB audio dongles can be found on eBay for a few dollars each, or you can spend a bit more for a brand like Sabrent that Amazon carries, maybe $8 each (but frankly the same dongles are around $3 on eBay)

There's a zillion options, but this is what I get when I want to add another feed to my laptop. I need the two cables because the DuKabel audio adapter has a balanced mono input and my scanners put out stereo.

I'm running 3 feeds on my one laptop and am hoping to add a fourth.

Same Question - I'm a little lost. I want to provide 2 separate feeds in MONO. Right now I am providing 2 feeds in STEREO through the same line using a "Y" in the configuration as instructed on the Broadcastify support page diagram. Left Scanner and Right Scanner are stepping on each other if you listen from a device in mono. I'm using ProScan Radio Feed, How do I split the feeds totally independent from each other using only 1 PC.
Thanks

Move the audio level slider fully to the left side on the unused input. So if using the Left channel, move the Right channel fully to the left side. Same with using the Right channel, move the Left channel fully to the left side. Do that to both instances. That doesn't apply if using the SDS200 audio over Ethernet.

That sounds great Bob but what PC inputs do I use for 2 separate feeds? Do I need to do what the OP did with USB input dongles? Or do I connect one scanner through the front of the PC mic/line in and the other scanner through the rear of the PC mic/line in?

Have you tried adjusting the left/right on the Recorder/Capture tab?

For example, try setting Mode to Mono, and then turn the left slider all the way down so only the scanner coming through on the right side is broadcasted. Then in your second running copy of ProScan, do the opposite. Does that make sense?

Regarding the front vs rear inputs, In my experience, computers will treat the front mic input and rear mic input as the same inputs, but it's possible your computer is different. You have to see what options you have in your Recording tab on the Sound Control Panel:

It depends on your audio hardware and how you want to do it. You could use the front mic/line input for one feed and the rear mic/line input for the other feed or you could use one of the mic/line inputs for both, left channel for one feed and the right channel for the other feed.

That means both feeds are trying to use the same web service. To have two feeds, you need to have two feeds given to you by broadcastify. Then you'd put the second web url and key in the second instance of the software.

That brings up an interesting idea - using one single broadcastify feed to broadcast two feeds, panned left and right. So listeners could conceivably switch between feed Left (say, Fire for example) and feed Right (for Police) when they want to focus on one or the other. Devious! :)

In theory Yes. I have had it set up that way for years BUT too many users on devices that can't select or slide Left or Right get them bled together. I had a listener tell me that the other day and I confirmed it.

Stereo feeds doing just that have been around for years, but as pointed out by Jim, not ideal for some devices that don't allow panning/isolating between L and R channels.

Those do not work out well when listening on a mono device, and you only want to listen to one side.

I’m still having issues with Radio Feed and I know it’s my error or not using it properly even after reading instructions and getting help here.

I have been given 2 Feeds from Broadcastify with all different URLs and applicable settings, which are different for each feed. However, when I open a second Radio Feed on the same PC it is disconnecting the first instance of Radio Feed when I select “Connect” on the 2nd instance. I also get to the port mounting Error 3 code.

How do I specifically use and set up 2 feeds on the same PC? I am using 2 scanners. I have a front mic port and a rear Line In port. I'm using the front mic port right now.
I have all the correct cables and I know to drag to “off” the left or right depending on the Radio Feed instance when using stereo.
Thanks To All
