Hello all! I am coming back to Missouri next month and would like to know what frequencies I should have in to hit Bethany PD, FD, Amb., Harrison County Sheriff, MHP, St. Joe PD, FD, MHP and any other agencies that would be good to listen to while I am there.

As far as the Highway Patrol goes...they use half duplex in Missouri.

Harrison county is in troop H (St Joseph)

Base to Mobile 42.4000, also 42.3800
Mobile to Base 42.7800......relayed by 460.3375 near Martinsville, which is near Bethany.

There are a couple other transmitters on 42.12 and 42.58 (mercer and watson), that i haven't heard any activity on. (see RR database).

Speed enforcement on I-35 has picked up since the arrival of warmer weather.....you can usually hear the aircraft on either 154.935 or 154.665.

They also will use 155.7300 (sheriff's net) or 155.475 (mutual aid) to communicate with smaller agencies directly.

For point to point (base to base) 155.3700.

St.Joe area.....

Hi Spirit,
Buchanan county/ St.Joe is all digital as far as emergency services goes. The Database has everything youi'll need in that reguard. It's all up to date and accurate. Talkpair is spot on for the MHP, with only one addition I can make which is 42.000. The patrol uses it here in St.Joe for a lot of car to car stuff such as speed traps and traffic monitoring. The only odd exception to the digital stuff is a VHF frequency the sheriff's department uses for car to car which is155.985 .Hope you have a good trip!

All of Harrison County and MSHP will be in conventional. All of Buchanan County including St. Joe is P25 Digital Trunked. TGIDs are in the database. Hope that helps, if you have any other questions just ask.

Troop H - MSHP

MSHP Troop H Base 42.400 173.8 PL

If you have difficulty receiving 42.400, try 42.380 with 186.2 PL

MSHP Troop H Cars 42.780 173.8 PL

The Martinsville relay is near Bethany, and repeats 42.780 on 460.3375 with a PL of 173.8

In other parts of troop H, these relays also perform the same function:
(It's unlikely you'll be able to pick them up from Bethany however.)

Skidmore...........460.2250............PL 173.8
Polo..................460.2000............PL 173.8
Trimble..............460.4375............PL 173.8

For car to car, there are several options:

42.4000 ...........PL 173.8
42.0000............PL 186.2
154.935............PL 203.5...........used frequently with airplane
154.665............PL 203.5...........used frequently with airplane
