Another round of fires today - this time in West Bexar County near the Medina County line.

Active Frequencies

135.675 Air-Attack Primary
123.025 Media and Police Helos Coordinating
154.280 TX FIRE-1
151.385 TX AIR-2

On the SA EDACS System:

1825 Called "MUTUAL 46"
1826 Called "MUTUAL 47"
1827 Called "MUTUAL 48"

617 SAFD TAC-9 (SAFD Communications and Command)
618 SAFD TAC-10 (Patched to TX FIRE-1 154.280 and TX AIR-2 151.385)

Anyone know what the Mutual Aid lineup is? Both BCFA and SAFD are using these channels.

Lindsay is that all logged from Hill Country?

I have been trying gold but had to put the feed on Topperwein because gold has been switching control channels again all day in some cases twice an hour they would hop between 4 and 8. Im not sure whats going that it keeps flipping back and forth, but it is giving unitrunker fits.

If you're using on older Uniden like the '780XLT - program the control channels in one bank and set the radio to scan. If the radio supports computer control, check the "Chase" option on the Receiver's Info tab.

For today's fire out near the airport, the following was being used on the SA EDACS system

1884 was patched to TX AIR-2 (151.385) and Eagle was talking with ground units
1878 was called "AID-6"

I'm having a hard time figuring out how SA has their mutual aid channel lineup.

Every day and every different fire talkgroups 1825-1900 are being used differently.

Ok, I think I got this figured out now. It appears that there is a new fleet of talkgroups on the SA EDACS system simply called "Mutual Aid Channels" or "Aid Channels" for short.

For these fire incidents - the SA Command bus shows up on scene and patches whatever they feel necessary to those talkgroups - and that can be arbitrary. All BCFA and other Fire Departments all have these channels in their radios.

The AID channels are:

Code:
1873	M AID-1 Mutual Aid 1	M
1874	M AID-2 Mutual Aid 2	M
1875	M AID-3 Mutual Aid 3	M
1876	M AID-4 Mutual Aid 4	M
1877	M AID-5 Mutual Aid 5	M
1878	M AID-6 Mutual Aid 6	M
1879	M AID-7 Mutual Aid 7	M
1880	M AID-8 Mutual Aid 8	M
1881	M AID-9 Mutual Aid 9	M
1882	M AID-10	Mutual Aid 10	M
1883	M AID-11	Mutual Aid 11	M
1884	M AID-12	Mutual Aid 12	M
1885	M AID-13	Mutual Aid 13	M
1886	M AID-14	Mutual Aid 14	M
1887	M AID-15	Mutual Aid 15	M

From what I can glean Lindsay, this new lineup started 3 days ago, I have heard talk referring to the new memo that came out. Also not sure if you caught this or not but 517 appears to be a ACCESS channel and I have logged hits on 518 and 519 that seem to indicate they might be access channels as well.
