Bear with me, just got a BCD436HP.....why can't I hear Bexar County Jail communications? Haven't programmed anything yet, just using zip code search.

The Bexar County Jail talkgroups use ProVoice. Did you purchase that upgrade?

Also, they use the Service Type Corrections. You must have the matching Service Type enabled, as well as have the ProVoice upgrade to hear the jail TGIDs.

Have you installed Sentinel, and updated the master database? Also, have you written the updated database to the scanner?

I have provoice, and updated the firmware. I dont think ive updated the databases.. I'll definitely check that next. Thanks!!

Be sure that you have the Corrections service type enabled. That's in your Profile in Sentinel. When shipped, and/or when Sentinel is first installed, the only Public Safety service types that are enabled are for Dispatch: Law Dispatch, Fire Dispatch, EMS Dispatch, and Multi Dispatch. You should also enable the related Tac and Talk service types: Law Talk, Fire Tac, etc.

So i updated the master list and updated the service types as well. I got a few more correctional channels but still no chatter on the Bexar County Jail frequency. I'm hoping since its night time and not much going on there. I will try again tomorrow. Thanks again!
