I noticed that there was an update for Boulder, so I checked it out. I used to hang in Boulder every weekend. I noticed something that didn't seem right. Maybe someone (Jim :wink: ) can help. It shows 154.325 as the fire input, with 151.355 & 155.535 being outputs. Shouldn't it be the opposite?

154.325 is the transmit frequency to all the repeaters, and all those others 151.355, 155.535, 152.22 are the receive frequencies for different areas of the county.

I think they switched up the setup so that 155.535 and 151.355 are the north and south repeaters for the output. Here in Centennial, 151.355 is the clearest of the Red channels.

OK.......I'll enter the other 3 now. One thing I always liked was that I could hear Boulder from home (Downtown Denver). AH, the good days of STRONG VHF & UHF systems!

151.355 is also solid in Weld and Larimer Counties. So strong that you can pick it up inside the mall in Fort Collins.

Don't forget 154.220 (141.3 PL) is considered the Central Repeater and seems to be targeting the city of Boulder.

155.535 (using 151.4 PL) is also used by Sheridan fire for tone paging of fire/rescue calls.

With Boulder remaining as one of the few metro agencies that is still VHF they have picked up many of the vacated VHF frequencies from other agencies and now use about 15 different freqs in different parts of the county.

Remember also that Green & Red remain available online 24/7 for those outside the area on a feed provided by the sheriffs department.

During last nights 110mph pursuit down the canyon from Estes Park that finally crashed in Lyons that online feed was great monitoring.

Whoops. Yeah that’s it, it was a mistake. I've the right frequency (154.22) in my radios but I mistakenly put 152.22 up on my website which is where I copied it from. Thanks for letting me know that.

154.22 has a good signal in the Kremmling area. Can hear it on a handheld some days. It must be at Gunbarrel.

Chris: For the Boulder County fire paging tones (tone-outs), do you have the durations for each tone-out? I'm most interested in BFD, Pridemark, and Boulder Rural.

Sorry it took so long to respond.
The durations that I use in my portable pac set for LEU is 0.5 for Tone A, 1.2 for Tone B, and 0.0 seconds for the gap between the two. I haven't tried out the feature on the 396 radio yet so i'm not sure if those will work, but hopefully it will. Those durations should be the same for almost all the tones in the county. Exceptions would be group tones, Emergency Services, Front Range Rescue Dogs, and I think a couple others. They just have different durations. Also I know the Boulder and Pridemark tone Hz I have listed on my website work, but I'm not 100% sure on Boulder Rural since I've never put that into my radio and let it go off. I'm also not sure if you want Boulder tones to take your radio out of standby when any of the seven stations get toned out or just specific ones. They use DTMF to tone out different stations but all the two tones that go along with the DTMF are the same for every station. If you have anymore questions send me an e-mail or post here. Have all the pagers been switched from 154.325 to 154.22, 155.535, and 151.355? Or are all the pagers still programmed to receive on 154.325? Peter S

are you talking about voice or digital data pagers? If the you're talking about the digitals they've always been on 158.775 (or at least as long as I could remember). But if you're talking about the voice pagers (i.e: keynotes, minitors, plectrons, etc) I know that most of them use 154.3250 mhz. But it also depends on where you at. You can almost pick 154.3250 good anywhere in the county but the only downside is that-that's the direct freq so you won't hear many of the fire/rescue units. But I use 155.5350 as the paging channel in my two-way and that works.
