Just built a 550ft rx inverted V dipole (275ft per leg) at 80ft up using a 4:1 Balun, broadcast band (still get good am rx, just not bleeding over everything finally ) and FM trap (strong FM station nearby) and a 15db .01-40mhz preamp with a 30mhz bandpass filter and 60bd step attenuator at the receiver end. Never knew there was so much going on under 500khz. Never going back to a random wire with a 1:9 transformer ever again.
