Englewood: Pursuit with shots fired at officers, EB Dartmouth from Federal notifying Denver and Jeffco. O/F 155.730, Den-800, DTRS, Online (001)

Pursuit U/D: SB Colo Blvd from Hampden, Englewood has terminated now Littleton, ACSO, Cherry Hills and Denver etc. (001)

Pursuit U/D: EB Belleview from University, Car 320 advising Denver units to cease. Started with shots being fired at Littleton officers during a traffic stop. (001)

Pursuit U/D: Passing Syracuse on EB Belleview 80mph now into the DTC. (001)

Pursuit U/D: EB Arapahoe Rd from Dayton. Just hit one of the police cars. (001)

Pursuit U/D: EB Arapahoe Rd approaching Parker Road speeds of 100mph. Advising Aurora & Parker. (001)

Pursuit U/D: Smoky Hill & Araphoe Rd area now CSP and Aurora are getting two troopers involved also, asking CSP to PIT NOW.. (001)

Pursuit U/D: Aurora Parkway near the new mall at E-470, suspect has gone into a dead end, trying to box him in. (001)

Well you guys posted this alot better than i would of. Not to sure if my topic should of been Sheridan PD, I was listening on the DTRS and the ID of 2153 was showing on my scanner and i just locked on it..Anyway good posting Jimmnn and Scan-Denver.

LITTLETON - A suspect fired shots at police officers during a high-speed chase Sunday before being taken into custody. Police say the chase saw speeds in excess of 100 miles per hour and spanned several jurisdictions. No officers were hurt.

The chase began Sunday afternoon near South Lowell and West Berry in Littleton, and ended south of E-470 and Gartrell.

Police have not released the name of the suspect or what charges he may face.

It seems like lately there is a chase about every day around here--whats' up with that??

It seems like CSP will chase anybody, especially bikes, while Denver hates to pursue anybody. (Unless air one is up)

I think I will call Tom Tancredo for his slant on this!!

Chases here in Denver are a rarity and when it does happen, there are a few of us who tune in for the excitement.

Yes CSP will chase just about anyone and probably because the state has a bigger war chest when something bad happens.

Lakewood has a "no chase" policy. They are not allowed to chase unless it is for something big (like a guy firing shots at officers or a murder suspect).

Steve ... that's no lie. Everytime I hear a chase about to ensue in Lakewood, they back off if speeds get above about 50. They will attempt to tail the suspect, but if they lose them, they simply air a BOLO for the vehicle or attempt to locate based on license info.
