Bird Strike Vid with ATC included

This is an amazing and rare clip of a bird strike to the right engine of a Thompson B752.

I debated to post it here but there are ATC comms included throughout this incident that is very interesting! I have more confidence in the training pilots receive to handle crazy situations like this one.

Has anyone heard on their radio an air emergency while spotting at an airport?

That is an outstanding video in terms of what the aircrew and ATC did as well as the skill of the camera operator.

Usually amateur videographers point the camera away from the action in their excitement.

While flying as a traffic reporter, we had a bug strike on the windshield of the helicopter and I thought the cockpit was going to shatter. We were only going 120kts when the bug went splat!

Note the lack of time for decision making. Things happen very very fast in high performance aircraft especially in transitional phases.
