just a heads up i am hearing some encryption on fire dispatch. it sounds like a engine or rescue might have accidently hit the encryption switch. as of now everything else remains clear . very doubtfull fire alarm can see what unit it is. i know they recently upgraded hand helds to the apx net series. if anyone hears this let me know so i can try to identify which unit it is.

There is no option enabled on our radios to do that. If there is any encryption being used, it would have been programmed over the air by the emergency communications district staff and we would have been instructed to turn on all the radios until they receive the update OR we would have had to bring all the radios somewhere to be programmed with a keyloader. I haven't heard anything about us going encrypted, but I will check on it. I worked yesterday and didn't see any encryption enabled on my portable radio screen or the mobile radio.

Thank you Matt
It could have been I had a drop in signal and it sounded like encryption . iI will also keep a closer eye on it . I want to say it happend when eng 21 replied back and a rescue also . I am only using the huffman stand alone site (852.6125) for bfrs. a few times iI have not been able to hear tac 1 in bat 1 coverage area prob affiliation issues. Other than that issue it is perfect for me
