birmingham/jefferson county

ok guys am i stupid or what :

the reason being that when i use the control channels listed for birmingham i can not hear the entire system

some control channels only give me south,west, fire alarm, bessemer pd/fd, and the so but no other county agencies such as pd/fd.

i thought the entire system was patched together with each other when i use the county control channel usually 860.2375 i hear every agency both county and city.

and when i use the city control channels the above happens this is so confusing :

let me give an example
868.275 control b-ham
agencies bpd south and west fire alarm jeffco so f\dale/bessemer ,bessemer pd/fd

860.2125 control bham
fire alarm and north so centerpoint


what gives thanks for all help

Right now, I use the JCSO frequencies and don't have any trouble. I seem to get better coverage from them but that could just be because of where I am. As for MOFD, I haven't tried to listen to them. Wish I could be more help.
