Where those food "choppers" or mabye modified motorcycles? That really is not what this forum is about. Now if for the sake of discussion you where talking about helicopters or rotor winged aircraft then that might make for some good discussion.

All I can say is look around on the UHF Military aircraft band and also VHF Low bands in the military bands. The choppers are from the OK ANG.

They are Kiowa and Blackhawk helicopters from the Tennessee National Guard, here training until later today. You might try looking at their freqs.

Why are they training here??? There are plenty of places to train in Tenn. It's a cover story they aren't Tenn. Natl. Guard. Why would they just send 2? They are either looking for a terror threat or preparing for one that they have gotten wind of.

PS. I never was able to find the freq they were operating on.

This is just a guess, but it could be that they needed to train in an unfamiliar environment, since they are going someplace unfamiliar.

Not sure what you mean by just sending 2. Do you mean 2 helicopters? They sent more than 2. That may just be what you saw.

We get crashhawks and chinooks through here all the time. They land at KTIK for fuel and crew rest. As far as them flying around, I would imagine that they are indeed doing work ups for deployment somewhere. Its pretty common.

TN Air National Guard unit is mobilizing from Fort Sill heading to Iraq, why only two? well thats simple, they fall in on aircraft when they arrive in theater probably using some from one of the local units here at Sill.

I saw five of them at Will Rogers last week. Do not know if there was more or not but when flying would only seem them in groups of two.
