Man... That sure would be nice! Although I got rid of my Storm due to all the bugs and stuff, and returned to the good ol Trusty Verizon Curve. :) I'm drooling over that new 9630 that's coming out.

Back to the subject at hand, if one hasn't been created yet, I can holler at a couple people on some message boards I'm a member of and see if they can do me a favor. :)

I'm looking in to this now.

<rant>
This is why the blackberry as a smartphone isn't going to win. The fact that I have to download a complete IDE to develop a freaking launcher for the m.radioreference.com is beyond me.

Really?

There IS an option for me to pay 3 bucks to some online service that will do it, and that is probably the approach that I'll take.

BUT - I'll investigate this and see about getting it added. Respond to this thread if you are using a storm and want this feature. I want to gauge the interest before I spend 3 bucks on this service ;) Seriously, there is more to it than that so I'm curious how many storm users are out there... and how many will probably become iPhone users.

Disclaimer: I am an iPhone user. :)

I too have a Storm, and have found several things about it I don't like, especially it's too slow! What is the 9630 and when is it coming out? Also, can you advise what this "platform" will do.

I use the Storm Lindsay, the verizon OS is not updated very often so I use a hyrbrid OS from Crackberry.com and it works much better. FWIW I cannot do anything on RR with my storm except read the forum, even when I use the Opera Mini browser...

Thanks.

I was just going to ask the question about making the mobile version of RR into an app. for the BlackBerry. And I see it's already been asked so I'll move on.

I'm using a BB Pearl Flip Phone that I just recently got. yeah yeah I know most are using other types of BB's which is fine, but I like the Flip Phone style, I'm not a business user and I just don't like the way most others look but that's a personal opinion.

But yeah, an app. for the BB would be great. Definitely something I would be looking at using, because I still haven't quite mastered the browser on this.

Thanks and keep up the great work.

I don't get the mobile launchers. I have a Storm but what is the point of downloading an icon to take you to m.radioreference.com when you can just make it a bookmark and click it as soon as you open your browser.

Seems useless to me.

I have a storm and have had very few issues with it. I also use a lot of stuff off crackberry to make it purr.

The launchers work a lot better with your phone, they load a whole lot faster and everything loads to the proper size to fit your screen. I am finding things on the iphone mobile that I didn't see on the regular web site, like subscribing to a thread that E-mails you when the thread gets answered. Things are much more organized for the smaller screen.

That's for that info. I was never aware they were anything more than an icon to a link.

I too have a Storm, I've already taken advantage of RR's mobile site to look up some frequences to program in while out with the hand held.
