Anyone have any updated info on the New Shoreham Police Department frequencies? I've been here 3 days and have heard nothing on the frequenicies listed in the RR database. I come here every summer and it has never been this quiet. I noticed that the patrol cars have VHF and 800 Mhz antennas on them but have heard nothing on either band.

New Shoreham Police are no longer on VHF because they now operate on the Riscon 800 MHz digital system full time. They are on TGID1376 STH Zone. If you have a digital scanner you can receive them. The RR data base for the Riscon network is out of date and stale so current info may not be available here. I would be happy to provide that info to an admiestrator but Im not sure who to contact.

FWIW, I have RISCON programmed into my Pro-96 and am barely able to pick up a control channel. I tried searching the 800 Mhz band for something not listed but that didn't work either. I guess the system is working for the PD here or they would be back on VHF.

I can confirm New Shoreham PD loud & clear on RISCON, but at least with the Unidens, RISCON has to be programmed as a P25 system. I do not know much about the Radshacks. FD & EMS are still on VHF 154.205.
