Most of Bloomfield's (NNJ Essex Co.) public safety PD, FD & EMS radio systems are on UHF (T-Band) Except their DPW which is on 45 Mhz low band frequency.

However the town retains active licenses on two additional low band frequencies. 33.0800 KDY279 (licensed to Fire/Rescue) and 37.2200 KEB361 (Which is the "old low band police frequency").

In the 90's these frequencies were used by the First Aid And Rescue Squad along with 37.980. EMS is now dispatched on the UHF PD channel.

My question is with anyone who may know are these two low band frequencies 33.0800 & 37.2200 still used by the town for any reason, perhaps emergency management? Has any one monitored any activity over the last year? Or are they just "paper tiger" remnants of old low band past?

Thanks:D

DPW still uses there freq and there PL is 82.5 ( confirmed ) ~ First aid squad also uses a low band channel for so called private operations, unknown on the freq and PL tones.

EMS Ambulance primary operations is on the UHF Police channel.
