I'm planning on going to the Fair on Friday. I'll check in Friday night with any currently listed or new freqs used there. I'll be monitoring 2mtr VHF 146.565 pl151.4 & 462.725 DCS162 at the Fair.
The only active freq on Thursday was 461.650. Nothing on the ECEN for the Fairgrounds; although their was other tfc for the County.Thursday my wife & I are going to the Fairgrounds for the Craft festival; I'll see what freqs are used at that event.
I'm planning on going on Senior day; as old folks we have to save some money wherever we can the way this whacky economy is!Anyone able to update for the Fair this year? Thanks for any assistance in advance.
I am hearing activity on 159.3375…med base but only hear the base from my qty…3 miles north of fairAnyone able to update for the Fair this year? Thanks for any assistance in advance.
Due to the wx, we're planning on going Wed, see what I can rx. Thanks for the update. Was there yesterday and they are using brand new portables fore security. I could not see the brand, but they sound digital either NXDN or P25 (guessing). I was not getting any hits on the county system for anything so I'm guessing not on that. Did not give any thought to check out Industrial Electronics 264 repeater.
What radio were yo using and was the dmr signal strongAt the Fair today; 159.3375 csq FM analog Fd/Tug/Ems. 461.65 csq FM analog units cllng "Danville".
462.525 Dmr cc1 Security base.
Using a BC436 handheld; the dmr signal was very strong; but the audio varies from quiet to booming in at times. Everytime someone keyed up there was that raspy noise at the beginning of the comms. The security base said this was channel 1. There might be other freq(s) that weren't being used for other channels. What a difference between hearing the clearer analog 159.3375 freq compared to the dmr 462.525 one. What radio were yo using and was the dmr signal strong
