The most recent updates talkgroups are listed in the TVRTS forum, located here.

http://forums.radioreference.com/tennessee-radio-discussion-forum/223207-tvrts-tg-unids.html

It was updated just this week with the latest TG ID that have been confirmed by listeners.
The information has not been updated in the database yet. Check that forum out for the most recent updates.

Blount County has joined the P25 digital regional system Tennessee Valley Regional Telecommunications System.
The system information (including tower sites, frequencies and confirmed TGIDs) is here:
Tennessee Valley Regional Telecommunications System Trunking System, Various, Multi-State - Scanner Frequencies

There are 3 tower sites in Blount Co., but I would suggest programming other sites that are nearby (i.e. Lenoir City tower site) as the radios may hit those surrounding sites as well if the units are close enough. I have programmed several sites in my scanner, and it works well for me since I travel for work across several counties.

Thanks

I appreciate the prompt reply. I am new to trunking and digital because I got along just fine till now with my analog handheld as I only listen from home. I purchased a GRE 500 and I hope this will work for me.

Cannot Get Anything

Do not know what I have done incorrectly, but I cannot hear anything on P25 sys. I can get Knoxville traffic just fine, but no Blount County digital. I entered the control freq from the web site from all three sites and still nothing. When I go to analyze on the TSYS edit menu, I can hear audio on some control freq, but sometimes only one side, like trying to use a non trunking scanner on a trunked system. Any help would be appreciated.

Interesting. I have a 500 also and what I did was programmed it by computer with all the frequencies for each site and it works great. That's something I have always done-program all the frequencies. Just a thought that might help.
I paid the extra money and got the programming cable and subscription to RR Database...and it has been the best money I spent-saved me a lot of time and aggravation of trying to program by hand.

Software and USB

I also have the software and usb cable. I have reloaded my table twice and still no luck. You programmed all the listed freq or just the controls? The only difference I can see in Knox and my Blount TSYS are the talk tables, and I cannot find much info on that

I programmed all the listed freq in mine. All I did was list the frequencies in the scanner, set it for P25 AUTO and it works just fine.

That nailed it. I appreciate your help with a newby to dig scanning

Well, I'm still pretty new myself and am still learning. You are welcome. And welcome to the RR Forums where you will find everyone on here very friendly and helpful. If you ever have questions, just search the forum boards...but if you can't find it, then just ask. Someone on here will be able to help you. I have learned a lot from these forums about this digital world of scanning. And still don't know everything about it.

Unless things have changed since yesterday, the Blount Co. Sheriffs Office can still be heard on the conventional UHF channel, however I am sure it will eventually be turned off.

Blount Co. Frequencies

Blount Co. is using multiple different sub frequencies on the new APCO system. I ended up manually programming in from 10000 to 10100, and keep discovering new freqs they are using. 10038 10040 and 10042 appear to be different public works (sounds like Maryville, 10040 sounds like road crew, and I believe 10042 was Electric). There are also some other ones I have submitted including some used by surveillance teams. It seems like they are testing new freqs every day, so who knows in the end how many will be used.

Minor correction: That's Talkgroups your referring to, not frequencies. As you find the new tg's and ID what they are being used for, please submit them so that we can add them to the database. TY in advance.

Just FYI, those are talkgroup ID's, there is no such thing as sub frequencies. :)
