Best viewing area for us was on Alcoa Hwy by Starbucks because they do all their cool sharp turns and setups on the northern and southern edges of the airfield and, they were constantly flying right over our heads in afterburners. So to answer your question, yes radios were prohibited inside but I was recording this on Alcoa Hwy.

That's so silly. Listening with scanners is an integral part of airshows since... airshows with radios! I'm glad you figured a way to still enjoy it the way it was meant to be.

But, I'm sure they left everybody in with a cellphone. Let's see; can I set the bomb off with my scanner or would I rather try my cellphone?
