The Blue Angels are going to be here in Kingsville on April 05-06.

Does anyone know any freqs. that the Blue Angels use?

Do they use repeaters?
What about "Aircraft Unicom Channel" (came preprogrammed in my scanner)
How about FRS, or GMRS channels? GMRS REPEATER OUTPUT EMERGENCY (what is that channel)

Thanks. Croaker.

No I am right now though.

I live in Portland, and the show is in Kingville (Kleburg) which is about 30-50 miles (Not Sure), do you think my Pro-97 with the original antenna will be able to pick up the show?

Thanks
EDIT
I found this, but its a few years old.

I dont remember off hand the exact ones they used last year here in St. Louis, but I loaded them all in. You wont hear them 30-50 miles away, 10 miles is about it.

If you get a chance, head out tommorow and park around the area the show will be at. I heard them for a few hours last year flying around the area marking ground points for the show.

Were not going to be able to do, so I wanted to listen.

I wish I had that base antenna, I shoulda ordered it awhile back.

What freqs. do you put in for the other planse, such as the Pearl Harbor Attack planes, USCG Planes, and all the other planes in the airshow?

Maybe I will be able to hear them on AIR-AIR since I'm sure they will be flying within 10 miles, or the planes that come in and land in the middle of the show.

You would do far better to go get the freqs from the airshow article on Monitoring Times mag (everything is under tarps right now with painting being done, so I can't get to it...).

If you looked at the wiki, under the 'milcom web pages and mailing lists' article, you should have seen a link to the file called 'Monitoring Military Flight Demonstration Groups 2007' - from what I recall, many of those freqs - including a couple in the 138-144 mhz range using NFM- that turned up a year or so ago, and were new at the time - are still good. I'd also take a look at the MT milcom blog to see if the 2008 lists were previewed. That link is also on that article

Don't be afraid to use the wiki to record what you find - that way next year, there's already a valid list to start with....73 Mike

Nice picture right there.

I went on Sunday, but I left my Pro-97 in the car, I didn't feel like lugging it with me, and I didn't know if they would let me on with it. Anyways, I had two pictures left on my camera :( so I was taking pictures with my cell phone.

I have a good one of the two Angels noses at each other when they went towards each other. I'll post it up one night when I have time.

I heard the Angels talking on some freqs. on Angel StartUp 4
