I was out in the desert near El Centro on 3/14. I heard the formation team on 275.35 and 284.25. The solos were on 237.8. I hadn't heard the angels for several years and they were as interesting as ever. I was with a group of people that had never heard them before and they were shocked at the casual nature of the comms.

I was out with the crew marking the the race course for a National Hare and Hound motorcycle race and we were fixing a broken vehicle when the BAs launched. One of the guys on the crew made an observation that explained something I hadn't even thought about. He remarked that the commands were slow because the action was slow. Made sense.

At one point the leader almost broke into song for a bit. My buddy's wife was laughing so hard I didn't hear much of it.
