I was driving through Fannin County last week and heard what sounded like a NXDN datastream while listening to an analog scanner on Blue Ridge PD's 156.12750 channel. I had to go back there the next day and brought along a NXDN HT in which I'd programmed Blue Ridge's freq and sure enough, they were using NXDN 6.25 kHz. I don't know if it's in Mixed Mode or digital all the time. It was not encrypted and they were dispatching to Blue Ridge locations so there wasn't any doubt that it was BRPD. If I get a chance to go back any time soon I'll take a Uniden SDS scanner and try to catch a RAN code. Fannin County channels were still analog.

RRR

They are just 3 R's. Don't look too much into it

RAN code?

They have had Kenwood NXDN capable radio's for years. Surprised it took so long for them to get the repeater set up
