Do any of you know of a make/model of a bluetooth earpiece for scanner? I'm lookin for a transmitter that would just plug into the scanner perhaps with its own seperate battery pack and the receiver look similar to a cell phone earpiece.

I found this that I can use with my earbuds, but I'd rather just use standard cell phone style earpiece.

Ive tried using a Bluetooth headset for my scanner before and had poor results. It was mainly cause the BT adapter has a "standby" feature, when there is no audio, the transmitter shuts off to save battery life. When you get audio thru the scanner, it takes about 2 seconds to "turn on" the transmitter again, so you lose the first 2 seconds of audio. It seemed to go into this standby mode pretty quick, about 30-45 seconds of no audio.

It was kinda cool tho when it worked, cause I worked in a cell phone store, and I could listen to the scanner without anyone even knowing. I was allowed to wear the headset all day, cause that what we sold there.

I used the Scala BT500 adapter and headset combo. Its discontinued now tho.
