Yaesu: Bluetooth to computer on Yaesu FT-817

I hope this is in the right place. I have a Yaesu Ft-817 and I have a bluetooth dongle for programming. I cannot get the dongle to light up or find it to connect to it. I am wondering if there is something in the radio I am missing to turn on the acc port? I have looked at all the YouTube videos and none that I have seen address this. I do know about the 9600 baud rate but after that......

Have you checked with the manufacturer/importer/retailer of the Bluetooth dongle?

Yes, I have sent them messages. No reply yet. All the stuff I can find is basically plug it in and it'll work... Maybe change the baud rate if it won't connect but I'm not even showing that the dongle is working right now.

I have one of those super cheap BT dongles for the 817. It only seems to work at 4800 baud, so try that. Even then, it's not very reliable (doesn't always connect etc).
