I was just getting used to this new feed for the BNSF and UP around Ottawa KS. Does anyone know why it's down and if it will come back up soon? I'm in Emporia and it's nice to hear the BNSF down the line from me to hopefully know if there's trains coming my way.

Did you message the feed provider ?
how do you do that? I remember when the feeds was still at Radio Reference I could send a message or email to feed owners but now that it's broadcastify i noticed i can't find a way to send a email or message to the feed ops. I would like to know what the radio setup is and the antenna type and height. and how far away it receives and if it's in town or out in the country where it can pick up further away. people used to list some of that info. inquiring minds want to know ;) I know back in the day i emailed one of the feed ops to ask what town the feed was in and how far the coverage was and the radio setup. and he replied back with the info. I don't remember the conversation now as that was probably 2006 or abouts.

I know for my feed I have a 5/8 wave mobile antenna on a ground plane base mount about 20ft at the top of the mast. and i'm using a old Yeasu VX170 to scan the nearest Railroad freqs. I'm in the central part of Emporia. I pick up better to the west then the east. the whip antenna is cut for the RR band but it's probably from the 80's. as it was given to me from another ham. the coil looks pretty old. i guess it still works.

Most have a "report a problem" button.

The feed you posed shows in transition. It is possible its not fully deplyed yet.
Yeah I am aware of that but sometimes we want to know more about the setup and hardware and not many people list all of that anymore. I don't want to report a problem just to ask a question. I know i reported a problem to that feed early on because it has a 60 cycle AC hum in the audio. so does mine and i might need a direct connection on mine because i have the aux cable connected to the headphone jack on the speaker mic. but the wire coating was coming apart at the base of the connector so it might have a bad ground. i never did find my mic adapter that i could plug into .
