BNSF observation

I was sitting waiting for a BNSF train to pass through our town and noticed that the lead locomotive (EX BN GP-38) had a red and white sign above its reporting numers that said "REMOTE CONTROLED OPERATION". Yes there was a crew operating the train.
Has anyone else seen this on locomotives?

Remote engines can be operated in conventional mode.
