Hi, I've been scanning up at Future of Flight near the Boeing Everett plant for a few days, listening to the Boeing Type II trunking system, and have heard tons of cool stuff about aircraft moves, Dreamliner Two's gear swing tests and control surface tests, etc... but I haven't heard anything about Dreamliner One. I'm very surprised at this, since it's the aircraft with the most activity going on 24/7, and with the highest priority to Boeing themselves. Does anyone else do a lot of listening in that area and happen to know what talkgroups deal with the 787 ZA001? Or have they perhaps been using a different system for that aircraft, either their old Type I trunking system or a digital system? I'm just really interested in following this aircraft program as closely as possible, it's fascinating to see a brand new airplane taken from the factory to it's first flight :D

If you are talking about the very first one they rolled out in July 07, I think it is going to be one big rejection tag! Everett is all Type II now the same as all other locations in PS. There is a slim possibility they may be using LP 450 mhz radios in the immediate area of the aircraft.....but most everything is on the trunked systems.
