I have just relocated to Punta Gorda, Florida and have a Uniden BC245XLT Trunk Tracking Scanner and a Radio Shack PRO2025 Trunk Tracking Scanner and I'm unable to get either one of them to track the Charlotte County Fire and EMS Frequencies. Does anybody have any tricks or advice on what I need to do?
E-mail me @hellfytr2u2@aol.com

Thanks

The short answer is; get a new scanner. Neither of the scanners that you mention support rebanded trunked systems and, Charlotte County (including Punta Gorda) just rebanded their system last week. The Pro-2025 doesn't even cover 800 mhz. Smart money would go with a digital capable model as that is what is required for other nearby counties and Charlotte County won't be far behind.
