At 12:00am, Christmas Day, Wayne County Sheriff put out a BOL on Santa over Intercity. Area departments then acknowledged and wished each other a merry Christmas. Anybody else catch this? I'm guessing it's a tradition.

Yes, and they have done this for a very long time, and they probably will continue to do it well into the future!

Yes I did too. This has been a tradition since they were on 37.10 MHz., back in the late 1950s. However, when 155.370 MHz., replaced VHF-Low band in the 1960s, this tradition has continued over the years on that frequency. Likewise, at 0000 hours on January 1, 2005, many of the departments will also use "Intercity/Point-to-Point" to wish everyone a Happy New Year.
