You won't hear many fire calls from Bonanza now (not that you ever heard many before)
This is summarized from a southern Oregon newspaper story:
The Fire Chief, her nine volunteer firefighters and the Training Officer all resigned in protest over an ongoing dispute between the chief and the Bonanza City Board of Directors.
Now the 123 sq. mile rural fire protection district has no fire protection.
Frank Hammerich, president of the board of directors declined to comment on reasons Lee resigned, saying it was her "personal choice."
