Did a SW DX-ing session at about 0020 UTC, earlier than I usually do it. What a surprise! Spain, Romania, USA booming in on multiple frequencies. Often better than local low watt AM stations. Radio Marti had some very spirited baseball play-by-play, which is always entertaining.

Radio Romania International had strong signals on multiple frequencies, and one of them made my day by playing some really terrible ethnic music. Is there some international law or even SW broadcasting custom that requires stations to only broadcast putrid music?

Anyway, I soon ran out of time, but it was an enjoyable session.

RNZ Pacific usually has pretty good music programming. 9700 has been good the past few hours with 70's rock. BST, Frampton, etc.

Saturday nights local time, I like WRMI 5850 for music. Everything from classical to rock throughout the night.

Ifrikya FM is cool if you just want some dance beat music in the background.

Sending a reception report to John at VORW is always fun to get a request played worldwide.

Yesterday was a good day on FT8 from Central Massachusetts - especially the reach on 20 meters (17 meters is always good into Europe/Russia/Middle-East). Furthest stations spotted were in Western Fiji, Australia, and Japan.

(Indoor mag-loop and ICOM 705/WSJT-X)
