I am just wondering if there are any forum users that live near the border or within approximate distance can here any of the analog frequencies the U.S. border Patrol users or are they all digitally encrypted. I can fine only one left in Eastern ontario/ Northern New York that is still analog. There is a little bit of traffic on it, but not like it used to be. You could here units talk from Watertown to Buffalo and Points in Between.

I'm here a lot
Although I can't hear it every day, I've heard analog tx's on 163.625 mHz
from Buffalo.

Saint , who lives in Fort Erie, across the river from Buffalo may be
able to provide more info.

The bad news is all the traffic in the Swanton sector that covers northern NY and all of Vermont is almost entirely encrypted now. I don't know about further east in northern New Hampshire.

I recall that in the past year, I might have heard maybe a dozen total comms that were analog.

A buddy of mine who lives in the area covered by Buffalo (680) has told me that there is still a fair amount of traffic that's analog in that sector.

What about the border patrol being in Erie PA now ? They are here and I have not heard them on any of these frequencies. Shouldn't they be the same ?
