Does anyone know what system the border patrol uses in the Sault Ste. Marie area. I hear very little traffic on MPSCS on two IDs. Do they use high band?

Border Patrol is primarily on hi band nationwide. At times the Agents will come up on local systems, but primary operations remain on DHS frequencies.

I would suggest to spend sometime searching the 162-174 Mhz Band.
and post back what you find.. That is the region you will find them operating
for the DHS [Parent agency] using channels primarily allocated to them.

You will find some shared [Customs, INS now ICE and BP]

In the Detroit area I know they "monitor" the local 800 TGs. not really sure if that helps but I though it was interesting.
Youll hear them chime in every now and then if they roll up on an MVA or something. Not sure if its just a personal choice by some agents but Ive heard them probably 5 time in 3 years
