They could be found anywhere.
Hell, even have found Campus Call Boxes on GMRS
Found a Test Track (using the airbase runway) on CMED Channels
Found a Helo Reporting traffic for a Stadium event using Police Frequencies (and they were not reporting for that PD) yet were a Private enterprise
Found a Ski area using Public Safety Channels (No not Ski Patrol)
Found bootleggers in the evening using a Federal Repeater [former NIS now NCIS]

You never know what or where you will find something, even going back to LONG expired [not even in the FCC anymore] licenses.

Interesting, I wonder what automated alarm frequencies are usually on, most likely VHF right?

Aha, I figured it was a matter of time before someone mentioned my user name! It's interesting that this (presumed) alarm has been going off for years and we still haven't tracked down the source.

Not to hijack the thread, but in 2015 I would hear a recorded voice on 457.5250 DCS 412 nearly every Friday at 10 PM that would state, "Oh ****, call the T!" or something of the like following an indistinct female recorded voice. None of the licensees on that frequency really fit that, so I was wondering if anyone else had heard it.

There are tons of 457 (Fast Food Pairs) used for other Telemetry, Alarm monitoring as well.
trying to find one in my notes, but it is a Door Alarm out at Logan Airport with a audio recording. Even found some for Nursing Homes and Hospitals. Many never licensed :p

Wondering if it was one of the USNS Fleet over in Dry Dock

USNS LCpl. Roy M. Wheat T-AK 3016 was in Dry Dock, Summer/Fall 2015 and had a Repeter on 457.5250 R D-412, 457.5500 was D-413 and 457.5750 was D-411

I rule nothing out, I found it interesting that it seemed to use profanity so possibly not a USNS ship but with them who knows. Unfortunately it was before I started really recording with my 436, and I never really liked the quality of recordings on my 246T so I basically never used it.

Do you still hear it ? IF not, could have been.

Maybe she will be back to dry dock, in the next few years

I haven't heard it in around a year, I admittedly haven't been actively keeping an eye on it for the past few months
