Boston EMS Antennas

Can anyone identify what all these antennas are used for? As far as I am aware Boston EMS JUST uses a conventional analog UHF radio system... I am trying to learn my antennas. Thanks so much!

those aren't antennas. its a safety feature so they can tell how close they are to another vehicle. also on the top are also VHF, they have access to a system called HEAR. HEAR operates on 155.340 and also155280 I believe. BTW I am talking about those bright orange sticks that are the safety features.

Near as i can tell from right to left......3db gain UHF wideband......3db gain wideband VHF....800 band (most likely hooked to computer) ....cant tell something in the 800 900 range......last one again a UHF 3db gain Wideband

2 UHF, 1 800, 1 cellular, 1 scanner. Soon the 800 will go away as the new CAD system comes on line and the 800 AVL radio is turned off. All data will then go out over the cell card.

What gary said. No VHF. The two outside antennas are 1/2 wave UHF antennas. The center one looks to be the scanner antenna. The other two, cell/AVL

The older trucks have two 800 antennas and no cell antenna. Except for the few that have two 800 antennas AND a cell antenna. It's all in a state of transition and will be different a year from now once the new CAD system is operational.

Are they going P25 digtal ?
